I purchased this kit for my Avensis, very pleased with the product, as the sound quality is crystal clear, you don't lose any other functions, work the ipod from the steering wheel and shows the playlist.

I purchased this DICE iPod integration kit for my Wife?s 2008 Avensis with Colour Touch Screen Sat Nav/Audio.
Unit was incredibly easy to fit, simply removed head unit (pull off a couple of the trims and un-bolt head un screw 4 bolts) and plugged it in to CD changer connector and attached the iPod. You then have full control of your iPod contents using the CD Changer function on the Head Unit and steering wheel buttons. Artist/Track info is also displayed on the Screen.
The instruction booklet is not that clear and the set up guide for the ?mode? dip switches refers to US models not UK, (I?ve set the unit up to use CDC mode) but after reading it a couple of times, I gasped that:-
CD 2 allows you to select a Playlist
CD 3 allows you select Artists in the selected Playlist
CD 4 allows you select Albums by the selected Artist within the Selected Playlist
CD 1 allows you control individual track selection.
CD 5 and 6 allow you set up the iPod/Aux input etc.
You have to make your selections in sequence, so if you wanted to play a specific Album, you select 123 Playlist, Artist ABC, Album XYZ. Each ?CD? contains an ALL option as the first selection, so you could select iPod Playlist/All Artist, All Artist/All Albums, All Albums/All Tracks. You can also select Random and/or Repeat if desired from the standard CD controls.
It is essential that once you made your choice of Playlist/Artist/Album you select CD1 so you can use the Track button on the steering wheel or head unit to skip tracks. If you don?t do this, using the Track button will change your Playlist, Artist or Album and not the Track within your selection.
Whilst browsing is not necessarily quick, as you have to repeatedly press up or down track as holding the button down will change CD ? a standard Toyota CD changer function nothing to do with the DICE, so having your music organised in playlists is the way to go. But browsing function does let you pick an artist, album or even track if you fancy something particular, which is a distinct advantage over Toyota?s own version.
If you have an iPod Touch (my wife has a Nano, so I chose to install with the iPod locked) you may want to consider setting the unit to allow you control of the iPod, as you?ll be able to use the Touch?s screen to select tracks as you would normally..
All in all it?s an excellent buy, being cheaper than the Denison equivalent, whist offering very similar (if not identical) functionality, it does exactly what it says it?ll do.
Service from In Car Ipod was fantastic; pre purchase got excellent and quick advice from sales team; Item sent out same day as purchased by special deliver and arrived next day.
I?ve given it 4 out of 5 simply because browsing is ?slow? although not entirely the fault of the DICE itself, and you have to look at the head unit to see what you?re selecting. Due to the low position of the radio in the Avensis this is not ideal. If you?ve got your music organised and you know exactly what you want to listen to before you set off then I?d give this 5 stars.
