Dension Bluetooth Adapter BTA1000
The Dension Bluetooth Adapter (BTA1000) plugs in to the Dension Gateway 100, Gateway 300 & Gateway 500 to allow the connection of Bluetooth devices. It supports audio streaming (A2DP/AVRCP) and hands-free calling (HFP/HSP) through your Dension Gateway but due to limitations of these standards no song information is provided by the Bluetooth device. For optimum performance, your Gateway device adapter must be running firmware v2.02 or later. For the latest firmware updates visit http://install.dension.com
The Dension BTA1000 is compatible with most Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones, PDAs, media players and other devices, however, the Bluetooth standard is not consistently implemented by device manufacturers and you may find that apart from basic compatibility, some functions may not be accessible from your specific device. If in doubt, check out the Knowledge Base at http://support.dension.com

To get the best out of the BTA1000, install it far away from the car radio chassis or other electronic equipment and avoid installing near large metal objects. It is recommended to mount BTA1000 to a plastic part of the vehicle or to tie it to a cable harness. If you intend to use BTA1000 for hands free telephony, install the microphone and radio mute cable, too.
Using the BTA1000 for hands-free calling:
For optimum hands-free performance, place the microphone as close to the driver mouth as possible, but at the same time in a central location, i.e. an equal distance from the left and right front speakers. Ideally clip the microphone to an overhead panel at the top of the windscreen, e.g. near the interior light.

When using the BTA1000 for hands-free operation, it is recommend setting the radio volume to a level that enables you to hear the other party well, but does not create too much echo for the other party. We recommend first setting your telephone volume using the handset volume controls to achieve a similar volume level to other audio sources connected to the Gateway.
The package includes pre-assembled leads and instructions to connect the BTA1000 to the radio telephone mute connector (where available and supported).
Using the BTA1000 for Navigation Prompts:
If your device runs navigation software, then select Bluetooth Audio to hear navigation prompts. During this, you may or may not be able to listen to music from the device’s media player, depending upon its software characteristics.

Dension Gateway 400 Discontinued
The Dension Gateway 400 has now been discontinued.
The Gateway 400 provided connection of your iPod, USB, AUX input and allowed you to retain the use of your CD changer. The replacement for this unit is the Dension Gateway 300.
Now the Gateway 300 lets you connect your iPod, USB & AUX input, but doesn’t support CD Changer retention as standard. To keep your CD Changer you will require an extra add-on (Dension CD Retention Module).
The Dension Gateway 300 is cheaper than the Gateway 400 and when purchased along with the additional CD Changer module the price meets that of the Gateway 400’s selling price. This modular system helps keep the price competitive and let customer’s tailor their Dension iPod Car Kit to suit their needs.
Other Dension add-on modules are available like Bluetooth and Video Output.
Dension Rename the ice Link FM - ice Link ONE
To keep in line with their current theme of numbering their products, Dension has made the decision to rename the ice Link FM, one of their best selling products. This will now be known as the ice Link ONE.
The ice Link ONE still has all the great features that were found on the ice Link FM like iPod charging, AUX input & selectable FM frequencies and we expect it to continue being as successful as its predecessor.
For anyone who has recently purchased an ice Link FM and is worried that they have an out of date product, don’t worry as the ice Link ONE is the same product, just with a different name.
DICE Electronics iPod Cradle
For customers who would like to mount their iPod securly or within easy reach, let us introduce the DICE iPod cradle. As well as providing the perfect platform to house your iPod while in the car, it also gives you video output letting you pass the video from your iPod to any external screens via a standard video output.
Connecting the cradle to your existing iPod kit is simple. The dock cable that is supplied with your iPod car kit connects directly to the rear of this cradle so all the features you had with the dock cable application will be the same. The cradle has a ball & cup pivot design to give you the perfect viewing angle and a standard AMPS mounting pattern which lets you mount this cradle virtually anywhere.
The DICE iPod Cradle is supplied with inter-changeable holders to suit the majority of iPod models and is made from a UV resistant plastic to stop Degradation.
